Diet therapy

Dietitians who support recovery after surgery, children’s nutrition and long-term conditions.

Our Department of Nutrition and Dietetics provides nutritional care that supports healing and long-term health. A balanced diet strengthens immunity and helps the body recover.

Malnutrition, both under- and over-nutrition, is a major health concern in sub-Saharan Africa, especially for children. Our dietitians work with the whole care team to give malnourished patients, especially children, the nutrition they need for a good surgical outcome.

Your doctor may prescribe a special diet for your condition. A registered dietitian explains why it matters, adjusts it as you recover, and gives you a simple plan for a healthy lifestyle.

Cafeteria

Our kitchen serves local and continental dishes, balanced for health and prepared to strict hygiene standards, for patients, visitors and staff all day.
